Private Nature Preserve
Grant Station is blessed with almost 30 acres of wilderness space for the exclusive use of our community. Abundant water flows through and around us and one of our pristine, trail accessed creeks fills a large lake where our families enjoy numerous outdoor activities.
Good, sustainable trails don't just happen. Many hours of scouting, design, layout, construction, and maintenance by experienced, skilled workers are required. Our nature trail system was developed with several interconnected ring trails of varying challenge. Trail heads are located at numurous points so every resident has easy access. We allow mountain bikes on our trails and we encourage families to "day camp" at several secluded "grill pads" or primitive camp sites.
It is hard to appreciate the rich biodiversity without taking a walk in our woods. Blaze azaleas flash their orange blossoms through a green canopy of hardwoods. Wild dogwoods are found along several ridges and old-growth pine trees make a deep carpet of pine needles along creeksides.
